Tassie Trio Sign For National Duty
NASR National Office posted Monday October 26, 2009.

Tasmanian Super Sedan drivers have never let the tyranny of distance or the logistical dilemmas of residing on the island state prevent them from making their mark on the national Super Sedan landscape. In fact, Tasmania has probably produced more outstanding Super Sedan drivers per capita than any other state. Over the last 35 years of Super Sedan competition, Tasmania has produced six Australian Super Sedan Championship wins from four different drivers, along with 14 podium placings at tracks across Australia.

Furthermore, Tasmania is one of only two states to have had a driver contest every round of the Carline Mufflers National Super Sedan Series since its inception five seasons ago. This season, the Apple Isle will be represented in NSSS competition by their biggest contingent ever, a three-pronged attack comprising Brad Smith, Sam Hughes and Kevin Purton. Smith has been with the series from the outset, while Hughes and Purton will be making their first bid for the Carline Championship.
